Your Data: Access, Correction & Deletion

Last updated: 19 October 2026

You have rights over the personal data Starlink News holds about you.
This page explains each one in plain terms and gives you one place to ask.

We answer every request within 30 days, free of charge. We will
not treat you any differently for asking, and you do not need to give a reason.

Things you can do yourself, right now

  • Change your details — sign in and edit your profile.
  • Stop job alerts or a newsletter — use the unsubscribe
link at the foot of any message we have sent you. It takes effect immediately and
you do not need to ask us.
  • Clear cookies — use your browser’s privacy settings.

Use the form below for anything that needs us to act on data we hold.

What you can ask for

  • See what we hold about you. We send you a copy of the personal data we hold, and tell you where it came from, what we use it for and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct something wrong. If a detail we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, we fix it. This is usually the fastest request to resolve.
  • Delete your data. We erase what we hold about you where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it. Sometimes we must keep a minimal record — for example that you asked not to be contacted — and we will tell you if so.
  • Get your data in a portable file. We send the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable file, or send it directly to another service where that is technically feasible.
  • Stop us using it a particular way. You can object to processing we base on our legitimate interests, and you have an absolute right to stop direct marketing at any time.
  • Pause processing while something is disputed. If you have told us a detail is wrong, or objected to our using it, you can ask us to hold it without further use until that is settled.
  • Withdraw a consent. Where we rely on your consent — job alerts, a newsletter, optional cookies — you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before you did.

How to make a request

Email privacy@starlink-news.com, or use the form below, which
opens your own email program with the details filled in.

Please include:

  • the email address you used on the site — this is how we match your request to your data, so please write from it where you can;
  • which of the above you want (or just describe it in your own words);
  • nothing else. Please do not send a passport, national ID or any other identity document — we do not ask for one and we will not keep one.

This button opens your own email program — nothing is sent from this page,
and nothing you type here is stored on this site. If the button does nothing,
email privacy@starlink-news.com directly.

How we verify it is you

We have to be sure we are not handing your data to someone else. We do this by
matching your request against data we already hold — normally the email
address on your account or the one an application came from. If we cannot match it,
we will ask you one or two questions about data we already have.

We will never ask you to email us an identity document, and you
should be suspicious of anyone who does.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your request, normally within 5 working days.
  2. We verify it is you, as above.
  3. We act on it and write to tell you what we did, within 30 days. If a request
is genuinely complex we may extend that by up to two months, and we will tell you
why before the first 30 days are up.
  4. If we cannot do what you asked, we explain why and tell you how to challenge
    that.

If you are not satisfied

Write to us again at privacy@starlink-news.com saying you are
unhappy with the outcome, and a different person will look at it.

You can also complain to the data protection supervisory authority that covers where you live. You do not have to come to us first, though it is usually quicker.
